After a short Annual General Meeting at which your committee members for the next 12 months will be announced, we will have a presentation by Mark Ellery from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

This is a core overview introducing the history, origins in the 1920's and ongoing global mission of the commission.

We will be informed about how the commission began, its work during the First and Second World Wars and concluding with its work today in maintaining and preserving their historic estate around the world.

The presentation will also focus on the war graves in our local area and tell the stories of some of those we commemorate.
